Al “Palaleonessa” di Brescia si gioca la prima gara della domenica LBA, sfida valevole per la diciottesima giornata tra la Germani Brescia e l’Estra Pistoia. Brescia, prima a pari merito con Venezia, vuole sfruttare la sconfitta della Reyer per prendersi il primo posto solitario a quota 28 dando continuità alla vittoria nell’ultimo turno ottenuta sul campo di Trento. Pistoia, una delle sorprese più grandi di questa stagione, è reduce dalla vittoria esterna sul campo di Scafati e si trova in una situazione di classifica più che positiva, occupando l’ottava posizione.
Germani Brescia-Estra Pistoia: l’analisi del match
Vince la Germani Brescia al termine di 40 minuti nei quali Pistoia ha fatto di tutto per rendere complicato il pomeriggio della squadra di Alessandro Magro. Sarà però un quarto periodo da ben 35 punti segnati, contro i 19 di Pistoia, a regalare la vittoria ed il primo posto solitario alla Germani Brescia.
Sin dalla palla a due la partita ha subito messo in evidenza la sfida tra i due centri, Ogbeide da una parte e Bilan dall’altra, pedine imprescindibili per entrambe le compagini. Al termine dei 40 minuti Bilan chiuderà con 19 punti e 7 rimbalzi con 9/11 dal campo mentre il centro nigeriano di Pistoia metterà a referto 14 punti con 6 rimbalzi e 2 stoppate.
A fare però la differenza all’interno di questa partita è stato C.J.Massinburg complice una prestazione totale da 27 punti-7 rimbalzi e 7 assist, tirando perfettamente da 3 punti con 5/5. In uscita dalla panchina la guardia americana, nel corso di questa stagione, sta dimostrando tutto il suo valore, riscattando la sua prima annata in maglia Brescia che aveva lasciato più di un dubbio su di lui.
Importanti le percentuali da 3 punti di entrambe le squadre che hanno chiuso rispettivamente con il 53% ed il 58%. Saranno infatti le percentuali da 2 (59% per Brescia e 47% per Pistoia) e dei tiri liberi (90% contro 77%) a fare la differenza alla fine del match, sommate alle 13 palle perse degli ospiti che hanno collezionato durante la partita.
Prestazione difficile per Payton Willis che chiude con solo 5 punti frutto di due canestri dal campo su 10 tentativi. La guardia americana, una delle sorprese più liete del nostro campionato insieme al compagno Moore, è stato ben arginato dalla difesa bresciana, incappando in una giornata storta al tiro che ha tolto a Pistoia un punto di riferimento offensivo.
Nel prossimo turno la Germani Brescia andrà in trasferta a Napoli, in quella che sarà l’anticipazione dei quarti di Coppa Italia, mentre Pistoia ospiterà in casa l’Olimpia Milano.
