I Milwaukee Bucks diventano appena l’ottava squadra della storia NBA a chiudere una stagione con almeno 45 vittorie con uno scarto in doppia cifra.
La vittoria per 131-121 al Barclays Center di Brooklyn contro i Nets è valsa agli uomini di coach Mike Budenholzer la 45esima “doppia V” stagionale con uno scarto superiore ai 10 punti, prestazione che posiziona i Bucks al terzo posto della particolare classifica.
Un Eric Bledsoe da 29 punti, 7 assist e ben 5 recuperi, ed una doppia doppia da 28 punti e 11 rimbalzi di Giannis Antetokounmpo risolvono la pratica Brooklyn Nets nel quarto periodo, e tengono a debita distanza i Toronto Raptors (lontani ormai tre gare) per la lotta al primato nella Eastern Conference.
Davanti a Giannis Antetokounmpo e compagni ci sono oggi solo i Chicago Bulls della storica annata 1995-96, chiusa con un record di 72-10, i Milwaukee Bucks campioni NBA 1970\71 di Lew Alcindor, i Golden State Warriors da record della stagione 2016\17 ed i Los Angeles Lakers 1971\72 di Wilt Chamberlain e Jerry West.
