Grande avvio di stagione per gli Warriors. Nella notte è arrivata la seconda vittoria su due contro gli Utah Jazz, determinante in entrambe le gare l’apporto di uno strabiliante Buddy Hield, autore di un inizio di stagione fantastico. Arrivato in estate nel tentativo di sopperire la mancanza del partente Thompson, fino a questo momento non ha assolutamente deluso le aspettative. Non solo per i 24.5 punti di media. Non solo per l’incredibile 75% da tre con il quale sta tirando. Non solo per le 12 triple messe a segno in appena 2 partite. Di Hield stanno apprezzando in quel di Golden State anche la rapidità in contropiede, l’intensità difensiva ed il carattere carismatico. Tutto ciò è stato confermato dallo stesso Steve Kerr recentemente in conferenza stampa.
“È semplicemente una persona e un compagno di squadra incredibile, pieno di gioia. La panchina ride sempre con lui”, ha detto Kerr venerdì sera al Delta Center. “Ciò che porta alla squadra va ben oltre il suo tiro.”
In questi primi incontri stagionali inoltre i Dubs non si sono semplicemente accontentati di vincere. La squadra capitanata da Curry ha letteralmente spazzato via dal campo sia Portland che Utah. Ovviamente le avversarie incontrate erano tutt’altro che irresistibili, ma lo scarto di almeno 35 punti in entrambe le vittorie stabilisce un nuovo record NBA. La stagione è ancora lunga e i dubbi attorno a questo roster persistono ancora, ma la partenza è sicuramente stata incoraggiante. E perché no, forse a Golden State hanno già trovato in Hield il degno sostituto di Klay Thompson.
